Mente Group Brings Industry Experts To NBAA Regional Forum in San Jose
San Francisco, Aug. 20, 2018 –
Mente Group will bring aircraft brokerage, sales, flight operations, finance, marketing and talent management professionals to the upcoming National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) Regional Forum at the San Jose International Airport in Calif. on Sept. 6.
Mente President and CEO Brian Proctor will co-present the Golden Rules for Business Aircraft Transactions at 1 p.m., covering the keys to successful and ethical sales. Executive Vice President of Mente Talent Management Colleen Kelly will also be at the event to discuss retention, quality of life, and cultural issues in a competitive market for pilots.
“Mente Group will be well represented at NBAA’s San Jose Regional Forum,” said Proctor. “These regional forums are excellent opportunities for current and prospective business aircraft owners to get up to date on the latest in industry trends and talk to the experts who can pull transactions together efficiently and quickly.”
Mente representatives will be at Booth 229 in the Exhibit Hall and at the Static Display on the tarmac of San Jose International, where the company will display a Gulfstream G650 aircraft, if it is still available Sept. 6. The company’s contingent at the forum includes a number of business aviation disciplines.

Brian ProctorBrian Proctor is the founder, President, and CEO of Mente Group, LLC. He founded Mente in 2009. He has been serving private aviation clients for over 15 years. She is based in the San Francisco Bay area, with reach across the world. Launch customers for Mente’s Talent Management include a major defense contractor and a huge producer of consumer products, both flying internationally.

Jim LewisLewis, in the Portland office, is a 40-year aviation industry leader – 20 years in operations and 20 years in aircraft sales. His experience ranges from freight/charter pilot and regional airline captain, chief pilot/flight department manager and demonstration pilot, to sales manager and director. Lewis’ sales tenure includes successful careers at marquis OEMs with more than $2 billion in aircraft transactions. He has served as West Coast Director for Galaxy/Gulfstream and at Embraer he handled business development, new business and active accounts, leveraging his strengths in aerospace technical aspects, brand building and customer relationships.
Sandy CarterCarter has 30 plus years of accounting, finance & operations experience. She is responsible for Accounting/Finance, IT and Legal at Mente Group. Prior to joining Mente, she was the Accounting Manager at another brokerage and consulting company. She has also held positions as Accountant, Credit Analyst and Investment Analyst in the non-profit, banking and insurance sectors.
Brian HammerHammer has a broad-based background in technical aspects of aviation. Prior to Mente, he was a technical consultant at another brokerage and consulting firm. His aviation career includes serving as an Aircraft Technician in the United States Air Force, working on the F-117 and F-16 fighter, and in corporate aviation as a Maintenance Supervisor for Business Jet Solutions, where he oversaw 10 large-cabin business jets and 15 mid-cabin business jets. He is well-versed in Part 91 and Part 135 operations and has participated in hundreds of new and pre-owned business jet deliveries.
Mary BelkenBelken leads the company’s corporate and aircraft marketing, including advertising, website management, communications and promotional materials. She manages and coordinates the onsite efforts for Mente’s presence at NBAA Annual Business Aviation Conventions & Exhibitions in Orlando and Las Vegas, in addition to NBAA Regional forums around the country and at other aviation related events.
